Privacy

The website and the StudyLoop app have different data boundaries.

This page separates what happens when you read this public website from what happens when you run StudyLoop on your own machine.

This website

No account, form, or analytics script

This site does not ask you to sign in, submit personal information, or store study content. No analytics or advertising cookies are configured in the website source. The hosting provider may process ordinary connection logs needed to serve and protect the site.

The StudyLoop app

Your learning records stay local by default

StudyLoop stores its database, plans, generated material, and optional exports on your machine unless you choose a sync or export. MCP tools use that same local configuration and can write to it when you authorise an agent to call them.

Your AI agent

Provider terms still apply

A cloud-backed AI agent may send conversation content to its model provider. StudyLoop cannot make that provider local or private. Check the agent’s privacy, retention, and billing settings before using sensitive material.

Optional integrations

Obsidian and xTiles should remain a choice

StudyLoop already supports opt-in Obsidian session export. A broader “second brain” layer is in planning: Obsidian as the free local option and xTiles as an optional connected service later. That work is not part of the currently shipped workflow, and public guides should say plainly what leaves the machine before it is released.
